Dress Code

All students are expected to dress appropriately for school and to maintain acceptable hygiene.

  • Ankle length dresses, halters, midriff tops, spaghetti straps, oversized tank tops that hang off the shoulders, and too-tight or too-short shorts are considered inappropriate.
  • Shirts which advertise alcohol, tobacco, drugs, profanity, Satanism, violence, and sexually suggestive messages cannot be worn.
  • Clogs, flip-flops, high heels, and some sandals are dangerous and should not be worn.
  • Sneakers or rubber-soled shoes are expected for P.E. and other outdoor activities.
  • Hats, bandannas, and other head gear may not be worn inside the school building. *Exceptions will be made for religious observances.

If health, safety, or modesty is questionable in a student's dress or appearance, the parent will be contacted to provide an appropriate change of clothing.
Please refer to the Code of Behavior and Elementary Handbook for other regulations concerning student dress.
