Dear Antietam Families,

I am Marcia Wieduwilt, the principal here at Antietam. I have been married for 37 years to my husband, a network engineer for the State Department. We have three grown children that are in their early thirties. We also have three beautiful granddaughters, one in high school, one in middle school and a 5 year old attending kindergarten here at Antietam. We also have a wonderful and happy grandson who will be 5 years old this year. I am also a pet owner with two dogs, Bella, and Ellie.

I am so excited to be your Principal here at Antietam and I am honored to be a part of the Antietam Family. This unprecedented year, is my fifth year here as Principal. I have been a part of the Addition and Renovations here. We have two new playgrounds, a nature walk, some great painted games and learning spaces on the concrete play areas. I am so honored to have added students from Rockledge and Old Bridge Elementary Schools last year. We hope they are all happy here as members of the Antietam Family.

With the changes around the building, the one thing that I hope remains the same is the positive parent/community interactions that are common to this school.
