Mustang Standing

Back to School 2022-23

Dear Antietam Families,

We are thrilled to be opening our school doors August 22 to serve you and your children. We welcome both our returning and new families with open arms and open hearts. My name is Mark Mahalchick and as the proud assistant principal of Antietam Elementary and on behalf of our entire Antietam team, we are honored to have you.

During these final weeks of summer, we will be continuing to work hard to get the school ready for the new school year. As always, our summer has been a busy one and very different from years previous due to our ongoing pandemic.  We will continue to do our best to provide a "World Class Education".    We welcome your support and look forward to make this a great school year despite our new normal.

 With much respect,

 Mr. Mahalchick

Reminder Mustang Families:

Canvas for Parents
PWCS has acquired Canvas as the Division-wide platform for virtual instruction and learning. In the spring, our teachers were not providing new content. Students reviewed and received remediation of content already learned. The Canvas platform will provide specific lessons tied to standards of learning and create consistent curriculum for students in any format (in-person or virtual). This new platform will also be connected to a PWCS-license of Zoom teleconferencing platform that will provide a secure method for live teacher interaction with students when needed.  Use the links below for more information:

Kiss and Ride Info 2022-23

This year the pattern will work the same as last year.  Please take a look at the maps (The first one is for morning drop off and the second is for afternoon pick-up.  The solid line represents the primary route.   As always with the start of the year, we ask that you practice patience and caution.  Students should only be left off in a designated area where a staff person is located to direct them. Thank you in advance!  Contact Mr. Mahalchick if you have any questions.
