Mission, Vision and Beliefs

Antietam Elementary School Counseling Program

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the school counseling program at Antietam Elementary School to provide access to a comprehensive developmentally appropriate program for all students.

We will respect the unique qualities of each student, as well as promote equity for all students by providing access and knowledge of available opportunities that arise.

As school counselors, we serve as advocates for the students by collaborating with other educators, the families of students, and members of the community to seek the students' best interest. By focusing on the three domains: academic, personal/social and career, we strive to provide all students with the skills, knowledge, and attitude to achieve success in school, to become lifelong learners, and to become responsible members of our local community as well as the global community.

Vision and Beliefs Statements

The Antietam Elementary School Counseling Program envisions a future where all students learn to the best of their ability, reach their goals, and succeed throughout their life. We will create an atmosphere that fosters teamwork, encourages responsibility, and meets the needs of all students as they strive to reach their personal best! Students will grow academically, social/emotionally, begin to become career ready, become lifelong learners and productive citizens of their community
