Dr. Seuss Week
Next week (02/27- 03/04) we are celebrating Dr. Seuss and celebrating reading in general. We encourage you and your family to participate in our Dr. Seuss themed days. Please see the schedule below.
Monday, February 27th - Cat in the Hat (wear your favorite hat)
Tuesday, February 28th- I am Not Going to Get Up Today (wear your pajamas NO SLIPPERS )
Wednesday, March 1st - Wacky Wednesday (dress silly)
Thursday, March 2nd - My Many Colored Days (wear as many colors as you can)
Friday, March 3rd - Fox in Socks (wear mismatched socks)

Language Arts: We will be finishing up cause and effect and will begin fact and opinion. Please be sure to review these concepts with students while they are reading at home. Also, please continue to review spelling words with students on a nightly basis so they are prepared for their tests on Fridays.
This week we have been working on rounding and estimating. Next week we will review addition and subtraction into the thousands. We will also review counting and making change from $5.00
Our unit on multiplication and division is over, but we will continue learning our fact families and taking weekly quizzes. Please be sure to check out the Math Links for games and activities your student can work on to master these multiplication skills.
This week we have been talking about Famous Americans and focusing on Civil Rights Leaders. Next week will talk about famous presidents and holidays. Our Living Wax Museum will be coming up on March 17th. Please be on the look out sometime soon for more of this information! THANKS!
