There are some links located under "useful links" on the left of our webpage. Below is a brief description of each.

ABC YA
This website is primarily designed for grades k-2 for those students working on letter/sound knowledge and beginner reading concepts. It is a fun and engaging way to practice those skills!

Reading Eggs
This app can be accessed on a phone, tablet, or computer. Students in k-3 who received reading support services have access to this program. They should have received their login/password information.

Epic!
A fun reading site for all ages! Students can access this through Clever, an app via their office 365 accounts. Please Note: Only students who classroom teacher has set up an account will have access to Epic! Many of these stories are read aloud to the kiddos. There are even interactive videos on the site as well.
 

MyON
A fun reading site for all ages! Students can access this through Clever, an app via their office 365 accounts. All students have access to MyON and can create a "library" of books they loved or are interested in reading. 

Starfall
This website is primarily designed for grades k-2 for those students working on letter/sound knowledge and beginner reading concepts. The focus is on an individual letter and its sound or just reviewing the alphabet, in general. It is a fun and engaging way to practice those skills! No password or login is needed for this site.

Brainpop Jr.
This website does require a login/password. Please email classroom teacher or one of the reading specialists for access. You can search for language arts topics such as "How to write a sentence" or "main idea" and the results will populate for students to enjoy a quick video lesson. Afterwards, students can test their understanding of that skill with the online quiz. Brainpop can be accessed via phone, tablet, or computer.

Word Ladders
Daily word games for K-2 and 3-5 posted daily by literacy expert Dr. Timothy Rasinski.  Word games based on current themes such as washing hands and holidays.

Effective Teaching of Reading
This is just for the parents! This site provides research-based information on how parents can help their children with reading instruction at home. As always, your reading specialists are an added support!

Reading Bear
A free online program to support beginning readers’ vocabulary and concept development while systematically introducing all the main phonetic patterns of
written English K-3

Under "Files and Documents" you will find the pacing guides for grades k-2 and 3-5. This outlines the language arts reading and writing standards for your child at their specific grade level. Please Note:  Most, if not all, of the standards for reading have been taught at this point and classroom teachers were entering cyclical review.
