The end of October and into the month of November, we were learning about the season changing which included the leaves changing colors and falling down. We went on a nature walk around the school grounds and collected many different leaves. The students got to do a leaf rubbing with all the leaves they collected. We also did a sink and float activity with our classroom pumpkin (named Pete). After we tested to see if the pumpkin would sink or float, we cut it open and got to touch the seeds and guts. Lastly, we cooked the pumpkin seeds and got to taste them! Throughout this whole pumpkin experiment, we got to use our five senses! :) Another fun activity we did this month was work on hand-eye coordination, kinesthetic awareness, and gross motor skills by flying a kite outdoors. I look forward to another great month of learning and having fun! I hope you enjoy the pictures!
