Preschool At Home!
Feet with slippers

For current students:

With schools closed, I will be posting activity ideas and resources Mondays in a weekly newsletter, PK in PJ's! by clicking Files and Documents or Calendar. The calendar also shows you my virtual office hours and a weekly "Snack & Share" to connect with our friends and teachers.

Music playlists can be found under

Under Useful Links you can find the Home Learning Resources from PWCS including a sample schedule for home you can adapt for your family and online resources to make the most of screen time. You will also find resources from around the web as they become available. Please check back here weekly.

And please remember, our work in preschool is play!
Get creative and make everyday activities fun. Make time every day to stop your agenda and follow your child's lead. Take your time and make breakfast together, let your child choose their own crazy outfits and get dressed all by themselves, ask them silly questions, add extra cups and colanders to bath time, read another book before bed, follow your child's interests and expand on their creativity.

Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.
*Due to the challenges related to this historical world health event and national emergency; it will be necessary for our teams to adapt how we support our students. As a result of Governor Northam’s order, PWCS schools must remain closed for the remainder of the school year. As we ensure the safety and well-being of students, PWCS can no longer offer its students an instructional day and services on IEPs, 504 plans, gifted education plans, and required EL services as it does when schools are open for instruction. In the place of instruction, our schools and team members are implementing the following plan to provide students with opportunities to learn, to challenge themselves, and to review and retain past lessons. All teachers will work collaboratively and use proactive strategies to continue engagement in learning for all students including our English learners, special education, dually identified, and twice exceptional students providing the supports possible given the limitations of virtual learning under these conditions.

Welcome to Preschool!

Here at Antietam's PM Preschool class, our work is to play! In every interaction, we learn about ourselves, others, and the world. This is a very important time in your child's life as together we build a foundation that will support them in their education and beyond.  Young children grow every day and I am excited to be a part of their development.

Please check out the "Useful Links" for information on development and other important topics.

The "Homework" page has links for the songs we will singing at school this week. Sing them at home too and remember to read every night!
